I’m always on the lookout for new props for sessions. My wallet & lack of space will certainly vouch for that. I think that each session should portray each client honestly and I achieve that look with lighting….and props. They are really my favorite. I spend a lot of time planning each session and researching who the session is for so that when the photos are seen, they scream original ideas and joy.
I was at one of my favorite thrift stores, ‘the rock’ in petersburg, and saw these old shutters torn from an old house in downtown petersburg. I immediately became inspired and had one of those really quick flashes in my head that paper would have been super helpful for.
They were dingy and drabby but with quick coat of spray paint (more like a slow 4 coats of paint that left my pointer finger sore) I turned the shutters into a cool background for a session. I added two vintage frames with a floral print and spray painted the frames white. I’m a fan….I’ll find the perfect use for them.
amazing! can't wait to see what you use these for!
