“Where are you located?”

My home office is located in Stony Creek, Virginia but I do travel (worldwide), and would love to for your wedding! Since we love to travel, I have special destination wedding (anything outside of Virginia) packages designed just for you.

“How long will it take to receive my images?”

During heavy wedding season, please allow approximately 4-6 weeks for your photos to be processed and mailed. If they are finished earlier, they will certainly be shipped early! During slower seasons please allow up to 3 weeks.

“How many images will I receive?”

That is hard to give an exact answer, however, most 8 hour weddings average at around 1,200 images between my assistant & I.

“Do you shoot film or digital?”

“How do I book you for my wedding?”

Well thanks for wanting to book! I’m glad you like what you see. To hold your date, I require a $500 deposit and a signed contract. “Do you have formal photography training?”

I do not.

“Do you accept credit cards?”

To keep the cost down on my end and ultimately yours, at this time I do not accept credit cards. Cash, personal/cashier checks and money orders are accepted.

“How far in advance should I book my engagement session?”

This depends on my availability, but ideally I would book 2-3 months prior to your wedding date. This also depends on the types of scenery you would like to surround you (fall, spring, etc.) as well as if you are sending out save the date cards.

“How far in advance should I book my bridal session?”

I would LOVE for you to book 1-2 months prior to your wedding date, but it can be done up to 3 week before your wedding.

“Do you have a studio?”

Yes, I do! We have a natural light private boudoir studio, home office & 3 rooms designated for photographs.

“How many weddings do you book a year?”

I book 20 weddings per year.

“Do you offer maternity/family/newborn sessions?”

I have come to specialize in portraits & weddings, however, I do accept a very limited amount of bookings in my off season.

“Can we book you for a highlight video?”

Absolutely! Please get in touch with me and I will send you some information. You can do so by emailing me directly or by clicking ‘inquire’ in the above navigation bar.

“Do you blog every session?”

I do my very best to. During busy wedding seasons, I catch up on blogging during the winter months when not as many photos are happening.

“How do I submit my wedding to be published?”

If are interested in having your wedding published in print or online, let me know prior to your wedding so that my assistant & I can grab the details necessary. Wedding blogs love details and unique features from your day so try to think outside of the box. I cannot guarantee they will accept your wedding, but I will submit them on your behalf.

“If we book with you, do we have to do a first look?”

Absolutely not! One of the brides that asked me this recently followed her question with, “several other photographers we have spoken with were pressuring us into doing a first look”. A big part of my job is thinking on my feet and making small changes to your day to make it go smoother for YOU. I’ll admit, a first look does have it’s advantages but so does it not rainingI will work with you one on one to design a wedding day timeline that is perfect for your day and planned around what is important to you and your families. If that includes a first look, wonderful. If not, that’s wonderful, too. “Do you shoot with an assistant photographer?”

Yes, I do. Kelly is my assistant and she shoots with me at every wedding.
