well, my last sister is now married and livin’ it up with her new husband and his adorable blonde super hero boys. Oh, and did I mention this event was thrown together in two days….at our house in Stony Creek? well….it was. and it was awesome. We call it Partin Style.

A huge thanks to the following people who made this wedding happen in TWO days notice! Thanks for being selfless!

Anne – who designed the most beautiful flowers so perfectly.

Kelly – thanks for helping me out with the photos, you are the best.

Jessica – you are a wizard at hair/makeup.

Karen & meemaw – y’all doin’ your mom thing and making magic with the food.

Mom – being an incredible mom and being the other half of my brain for this.

Curtis – for helping me clean the house, make favors, playing DJ, string lights, sweep the porch and just being there in the madness. I love you!

This wedding season has given me some beautiful things to photograph and some awesome people to have met. Although I haven’t had a chance to get them online just yet, I’m hoping to blog them all during the winter months where I also hope to hibernate from all photos whatsoever. (kidding not kidding). also, get ready for engagement photo overload!

I’ll admit. I’m not one of those get up at 5am, go for a 6 mile run, make myself a cup of coffee while eating a piece of lettuce, clean the house, do my devotions letting everyone know what I just read, blog every day work from 7am-5pm type people. Those types of people stress me O U T. I’m glad they’re so incredible, but unfortunately I did not inherit the superwoman gene. I struggle with consistency and with juggling home & work life-and I don’t feel bad about it. With buying an old home that needs a lot of labor intensive work, 4 more weddings left in the season, traveling, shooting engagement, senior, bridal and sessions for my family on top of getting the photos I already have on my plate out the door…. AND wanting to spend most of my time with my husband…I’m a frazzled mess. someone told me that was the new cool. So thats my secret.

all that to say, if you’re waiting on your blog post, it’s coming!! until then, here’s a tease if you please. I must go make supper now.

cheers.

  • Thank you for posting this! I love it and your honesty. I like people like you :)ReplyCancel

  • girl. you are NOT alone. i’m never on top of everything. owning a home AND business is hard work, forget about the personal things like working out or Bible reading on top of it. i’m lucky if i just hit SOME combination of them everyday. (at least you’re making supper! which, again, is not something i do everyday….) and i still need to post weddings from MAY….

so, three cheers for honesty. you’re still a great photographer, business owner, home owner, wife and person, regardless of how much gets done on any given day. <3ReplyCancel

With the most beautiful layered dress I’ve ever seen, the most captivating florals I’ve ever photographed and the sweetest most sincere relationship I’ve witnessed in a long while, I just want to carry this wedding around in my pocket. The details were so well thought out, their wedding party was sweet & pretty and we really felt like we were welcomed entirely. Besides, Christine has the warmest smile ever and Frank looks at her like she hung the moon.

It always makes me feel warm & cozy when a bride chooses to get ready in the home where she grew up. There are so many stories and memories that are a treasure to reveal. After we photographed her beautiful details and her finishing touches of getting ready, we drove to the most beautiful church with gorgeous light and a huge church bell (which C&F were very eager to ring. there may even be some photos of that below). They wed, laughed, then danced the night away. Oh yeah, on top of the incredible details I opened with, there was truthfully the best DJ I have E V E R had the pleasure of working alongside. She spunky, full of energy & was super adorable. Although being adorable doesn’t usually matter much, it sure made me smile. Her info is a the bottom of the post!
