Kourt & I flew to Boston last week and got to meet two fantastic people. We also got to photograph them and all their cuteness. Kourtney filmed while I photographed and here’s their behind the scenes video. Hope you enjoy!

I purchased this lens a while back. I knew I needed a replacement for my slowly dying 50mm 1.4 (sad) and thought I’d give the (EDIT: Canon) 85mm 1.8 a try. The poor thing stayed neglected in it’s box for a good 4 months…for my patronage was with the 50mm. BUT…after convincing myself to give the new girl a chance, I must say..I’m hooked. It is my absolute go to lens for portrait sessions and everyone needs one. In fact I’ll buy you all one. tax write off whaaaaat?! Below are some 85mm 1.8 shots that I quite like.

also, my orange chair needs a shoutout. she has been loyal, overused and now is forced to get wet, cold and hold moldy pumpkins. behold, my fall decor.

happy fall & happy decorating

ps…I’m not really going to buy you all an 85mm. Sorry Charlie.

  • a) your website is adorable. I love the gingham! 2) The first image is beautiful! III) Don’t worry, I didn’t want a Nikon 85mm anyway. Although if I were still shooting Nikon, I’m sure I’d be disappointed.ReplyCancel

  • Ohhhhh I love the 85mm. I’m saving up for the 1.2 though *swoon*. By the way – that second shot is PERFECTION!ReplyCancel
